Monday Mindset

Monday Mindset 🖤
.
.
Something I’ve been exploring personally for some time, is self confidence. My experience of adolescence, and transitioning from my twenties to my thirties, has provided me with ample food for thought.  Confidence is a quality that we have an inherent reluctance to embrace. It can often be perceived as arrogance, and there’s most definitely a fine line between the two. Nobody wants to be the friend who hogs the limelight, the smug colleague, or the egotistical sibling. Should this mean however, that we carry ourselves in a self deprecating way, and live with a constantly disparaging internal dialogue? Most definitely not.
.
.
Quite the paradox; those who appear self-confident and self-assured, are often those who struggle to see there own self worth. Similarly, those who present as quiet and perhaps shy, can have a steady self-esteem and an unwavering belief in themselves. .
.
How does one improve their confidence from within, and in turn foster a healthy self esteem? I feel it is a long, and oftentimes tedious process, that probably entails a variety of different things, depending on the individual. I’m certain however, that when one arrives at a place where they have a reasonable belief in themselves, they can flourish in many aspects of their life. Equally, it is not until this confidence is gained that one can make good & healthy decisions for themselves.
.
.

And so bringing this ramble to a close; build your wall of self belief one brick at a time. Start from where you are and not from where you believe you should be. As negativity breeds itself, so too does confidence and self worth... The more you feed it, the more it continues to blossom.
